Greyhound Travel Discounts
Greyhound has upgraded its fleet to make their buses more comfortable and offer amenities such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and additional leg room.

Save up to 30% by using these tips to get the lowest fares:

Book on Greyhound.com or the Greyhound mobile app
Travel on Tuesday or Wednesday
Book 7 days in advance

Seniors – With a valid ID, seniors 62 or older can request a 5% discount on unrestricted fares

Military – Active Duty and retired military personnel and their dependent family members may receive a 10% discount on Greyhound (unrestricted) walk-up fares. Sign up for the Veterans Advantage Card and get as much as 10% off fares. Greyhound also offers a maximum military fare of $159.00 each way anywhere in the Continental U.S. Also, get 10% off select Greyhound fare (but you can't combine it with any other discount).
Get 25% off package shipping sent through Greyhound Package Express (shipments within the U.S. only).

Benefits available for your family, parents, and siblings with a VetRewards Card ID.

Tickets may be purchased online by selecting Veterans Advantage under Discount Options or at the terminal with your VetRewards Card.

The card is for more than just buses. You also get special insurance coverage, and save on prescription drugs, travel, dining, entertainment and more.

Not enrolled in the Veterans Advantage program but you're an active or retired member of the United States Armed Forces? You are still eligible for a 10% discount on select fares for active and retired members of the United States Armed Forces, which includes the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy: members of the National Guard and reservists.

The discount is also available for veterans family (spouse and dependents only) with proper identification/proof of relations to service member.

As well as the discounts on tickets mentioned above, you can also get a round trip anywhere in the United States and the most you'll pay is $159 each way. *Discount is only available at the station. Discounted fares valid on Greyhound buses and participating connecting bus companies. Discount is not available on Greyhound Canada routes. Discount cannot be combined with other offers.

10% Veterans Advantage© program discount is available online and at the station.

10% Military discount is only available at the station.

Students – Have kids or grandkids traveling? Check out the student advantage discount card for savings. www.studentadvantage.com. Students can get 10% off Greyhound travel and 15% off shipping with the Student Advantage Discount Card.

Book Online – Save money by booking online and printing your ticket before you go. No waiting in line. Look for Internet only fares.

Priority Seating – For $5.00 extra you can reserve a special seat.

When you join the loyalty program, Road Rewards, you'll get points for every trip. The points turn into discounts and free tickets.

Tickets by Phone – You can purchase tickets over the phone with a credit card.

Disabled Travelers – Greyhound personnel can provide assistance with boarding and de-boarding buses, luggage, wheelchairs or other mobility equipment, during transfers from bus to bus and at meal or rest stops. For disability travel assistance contact 1-800-752-4841, 48 hours prior to departure, and inform the phone operator of what special needs will be required. During the trip inform Greyhound employees or Interline Carriers of your needs.

PURCHASE & TRAVEL ASSISTANCE:
If you have a disability, they will do everything they can to help you have a comfortable journey when you ride with Greyhound. While some disabilities and needs may be obvious to our employees, others are not, and you may be served by several different representatives of Greyhound along the way. It is essential that you ask for assistance at each location where you need help, including each driver if you have different drivers for multiple legs of your trip.

If you are having trouble purchasing tickets electronically due to a disability, a Customer Service Representatives can help you by phone at 1-800-752-4841 and waive the standard convenience fee after confirming that your inability to book electronically is due to your disability. You may also email Greyhound if you are having problems due to your disability: ADA.support@greyhound.com.

Buy a round-trip ticket - A round trip ticket is often less than two one-way tickets.

Travel on a Weekday - Fares are usually priced lower for Monday through Thursday travel.

Avoid Holiday Travel - Holidays are peak travel periods. For the best fares it's best to schedule trips during off-peak periods.

When traveling Greyhound, no reservations are necessary. If you know the bus departure schedule, arrive at the terminal at least an hour before departure to purchase your ticket. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The advance purchase of a ticket does not guarantee a seat.

Travel to Canada or Mexico - A valid U.S. passport or proof of citizenship AND photo identification are required to enter Canada or Mexico. A valid passport or alien registration card is required for non-U.S. citizens traveling into Canada or Mexico.

Proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, is also required for all children traveling. A guardian traveling with children must provide proof of custody or notarized parental authorization for travel.

All customers, including those who have been vaccinated, are still required by Federal law to wear a mask while on buses, in our terminals, and when you're boarding, even when we're boarding outside.
